1938 Teikoku Kagaku Sangyo K.K. established at Itami City, Hyogo Prefecture
1939 Commencement of production of enzyme products for dye desizing at the Amagasaki Factory of Nagase & Co., Ltd. (predecessor of Nagase Biochemicals, Ltd.)
1947 Nippon Kankoh-Shikiso Kenkyusho Co., Ltd. (predecessor of Okayama Plant; Functional Dyes Business)was established succeeding to the technology and business from Ogata Labolatory of RIKEN, National Research and Development Agency.
1958 Commencement of operations at the Amagasaki-Higashi Factory as the organic synthesis division of Nagase & Co., Ltd. (predecessor of Nagase Chemicals, Ltd.)
1962 Commencement of domestic production of epoxy formulated products at the Amagasaki-Higashi Factory of Nagase & Co., Ltd. (predecessor of Nagase-CIBA, Ltd.)
1970 The Amagasaki-higashi Factory of Nagase & Co., Ltd. was relocated to Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture (predecessor to Nagase Chemicals, Ltd. and Nagase-CIBA, Ltd.)
Nagase-CIBA, Ltd. was separeted and became independent
1976 The Amagasaki Factory of Nagase & Co., Ltd. (predecessor to Nagase Biochemicals, Ltd.) was relocated to Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture
1977 Nagase Biochemicals, Ltd. was separated and became independent
1980 Nagase Chemicals, Ltd. was separated and became independent
1987 Nagase Electrochemicals, Ltd. was separated and became independent from Nagase Chemicals, Ltd.
Established Nagase Sanbio Co., Ltd. together with Nagase & Co., Ltd.
1988 Commencement of operations at the Fujita Plant of Nippon Kankoh-Shikiso Kenkyusho (currently Okayama Plant; Functional Dyes Business)
1991 The new research building was constructed and shared by Nagase Chemicals, Ltd. and Nagase Electrochemicals, Ltd.
Commencement of operations at the Fukuchiyama Plant of Teikoku Kagaku Sangyo K.K..
1999 Nippon Kankoh-Shikiso Kenkyusho Co., Ltd was merged into Hayashibara Biochemical Labs., Inc.(predecessor Nagase Viita Co., Ltd.), with Hayashibara Biochemical Labs., Inc. as surviving entity.
2000 Nagase Electrochemicals, Ltd. was merged into Nagase Chemicals, Ltd., with Nagase Chemicals, Ltd. As surviving entity.
Nagase-CIBA, Ltd. became Nagase ChemteX Corporation, a wholy owned subsidiary of Nagase & Co., Ltd.
2001 Newly established Nagase ChemteX Corporation through the merger of four companies (Nagase ChemteX, Nagase Chemicals, Nagase biochemicals and Teikoku kagaku Sangyo)
Established Nagase Finchem Singapore Pte. Ltd. together with Nagase & Co., Ltd. and Nagase Singapore(Pte) Ltd.
2002 Established Nagase ChemteX (Wuxi) together with Nagase & Co., Ltd.
2003 Harima Plant Obtained ISO 9001 in combination with ISO 14001 certification
2006 Fukuchiyama Plant Obtained ISO 14001 certification
New clean room and roll coating equipments installed at Harima Plant for production of sheet encapsulant and Liquid Sealing Material (LSE)
2007 New distillation recycling facilities were constructed at Harima Plant
2008 Established Sakai Plant and commencement of manufacturing and recycling chemicals for production of Liquid Crystal Display

2013 A new R&D center "Applied Development Center" was established at Nagase ChemteX (Wuxi) Corporation
2015 Established a Joint Venture: Wuxi Chenghong Electronic Chemicals Co., LTD. in China with Nagase & Co., Ltd.
The Fukuchiyama No.2 Factory and the active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing business were transferred to Sankyo Kasei Co., Ltd.
2016 Nagase FineChem SingaporePte. Ltd was transferred to KMG Chemicals, Inc.
2017 Acquired Shares of INKRON Ltd. with Nagase & Co., Ltd. and makes it a subsidiary
Engineered Materials Systems changes its name to Nagase ChemteX America LLC
2023 Established Himeji Office
The Biochemical business and Fukuchiyama Plant were integrated into Nagase Viita Co., Ltd. (Formerly Hayashibara Co., Ltd.)
Established NAGASE MIRAI Corporation, and it was certified as a special subsidiary in the same year
2024 Changed the corporate logo and corporate color
2025 Sakai Plant closed.
Merged the Fujita Plant and Functional Dye business of Nagase Viita Co., Ltd., and continued operations as Okayama Plant
Fukui Yamada Chemical Co., Ltd., the NAGASE Group company, became a subsidiary.
