Nagase ChemteX Corporation is honored to contribute the Japan Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai as a supporting exhibition partner. We support the Pavilion's vision of showcasing Japan's circular technologies and cultural practices to inspire ideas for building a better future society.

The Japan Pavilion, themed "Between Lives," comprises three key zones: the Plant Area, focusing on microorganisms; the Farm Area, highlighting algae; and the Factory Area, demonstrates traditional craftsmanship that has been cultivated in Japan.

The Factory Area highlights Japan’s unique approach to circular manufacturing, rooted in centuries of craftsmanship and flexibility. This concept is presented through eight distinct perspectives, contrasting traditional resource-conscious practices with their evolution through cutting-edge technologies.

Our contribution features a comparison between the traditional Japanese technique of “wasai” (kimono tailoring)—which involves sewing garments with the intent that they can be easily undone—and our proprietary easily dismantlable adhesive technology.

This innovative technology offers strong bonding under normal use yet allows for easy separation with minimal damage when needed. The adhesive itself breaks down, leaving no residue and enabling clean recovery of parts. This technology contributes to the realization of a sustainable, circular economy.

We invite all visitors to Expo 2025 to stop by the Japan Pavilion and experience these innovations firsthand.
