At Nagase Viita, we are committed to creating a workplace environment where every employee can stay healthy and work with vitality. At the foundation of this effort is our focus on well-being—a state of physical, mental, and social fulfillment—which lies at the core of our health management. We believe that in order to deliver products that contribute to people’s well-being, it is essential that our employees themselves remain healthy in both mind and body. One symbolic initiative is the “Seasonal Healthy Support Lunch,” offered at our employee cafeteria in the Imabo district. Planned by the Health Promotion Section and served on the third Friday of each month, this special lunch has been warmly received by employees every time.

Food Professionals United Across Departments

Beginning in April 2025, four employees holding registered dietitian qualifications volunteered to take on the role of menu development, working beyond departmental boundaries. Although each of them normally engages in specialized duties within their respective departments, as food professionals they apply their expertise to devising menu ideas. Using seasonal ingredients in abundance and ensuring nutritional balance, they collaborate with cafeteria chefs to refine and finalize each menu. These delicious lunches help nourish the body and mind of employees working in factories and on-site offices, providing renewed energy for the afternoon.

Building Health Awareness Through Food

Through everyday meals, we encourage each employee to take an active interest in their own health and envision a richer future. This is the approach to well-being through food that the Company and its employees advance together. The Health Promotion Section regularly shares information on the company intranet to deepen awareness of food and health; for example, providing short notes on the Healthy Support Lunch menus, or introducing seasonal ingredients and their health benefits.

The various initiatives, including the Healthy Support Lunch, are based on Nagase Viita's Declaration of Well-Being. Thanks to these comprehensive efforts, Nagase Viita has been continuously certified since 2022 under the KENKO Investment for Health (Large Enterprise Category) program by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi. The Company has also been recognized by the Japan Sports Agency as a Sports Yell Company.

The cafeteria menu incorporates functional ingredients produced by our employees, such as the functional disaccharide TREHA® and the soluble dietary fiber FibryxaTM. It is a moment where manufacturing and the dining experience meet.

The well-being of each employee leads directly to the Company’s sustainable growth. Nagase Viita will continue to advance health management with the aim of creating a future where employees and their families can thrive.
