What is AA2GTM?
AA2GTM offers an advanced solution for delivering the benefits of vitamin C to the skin.
AA2GTM (INCI: Ascorbyl Glucoside) is a highly stable vitamin C derivative, first industrialized globally by Nagase Viita. By combining vitamin C with glucose, AA2GTM significantly enhances stability.
While maintaining high stability within formulations, the skin enzymes cleave ascorbyl glucoside into vitamin C and glucose, enabling cells to uptake vitamin C upon application.
Pioneering the Science of Skin Brightening
“Brightening” became one of the biggest trend of Japan’s beauty industry in 1980s, and it elevated from a seasonal concern focused on sun exposure to an everyday skincare essential in 1990s.
Recognizing this shift, we introduced AA2GTM in 1995, expanding the business from Japan to global.

Brightening Mechanism of AA2GTM
AA2GTM inhibits melanin production and has a reductive effect on existing melanin, promising to lighten existing spots as well as suppress formation.

Vitamin C is essential for our body with many biochemical roles such as the function in collagen synthesis and antioxidant functions, and so, its effects for skin should go beyond brightening.
