Upstream

Adding TREHALOSE SG to the cell culture medium helps inhibit antibody aggregation, thereby improving production efficiency, product quality, and functional antibody yield. TREHALOSE SG also helps reduce host cell-derived impurities during the antibody harvesting process, minimizing their carryover into downstream purification.

Downstream

TREHALOSE SG suppresses antibody aggregation in the acidic and high-salt buffer conditions that are typically used during purification processes.

Cell storage
TREHALOSE SG suppresses ice crystal formation to prevent cellular damage during freeze-thaw cycles, improving storage stability.

Exosome
TREHALOSE SG improves the production yield of mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-derived exosomes by upregulating Rab7, a protein- important for exosomes production and transport. It also inhibits structural collapse and aggregation of exosomes under lyophilization and freeze-thaw storage.
