Hayashibara Co., Ltd., a member of Nagase Group, (Headquarters: Shimoishii, Kita-ku, Okayama-shi, President: Naoki Yasuba) along with Okayama University (Headquarters: Tsushima Naka, Kita-ku, Okayama-shi, President: Hiroshi Makino) have signed an industry-academia partnership agreement to commence collaborative research. The signing ceremony was held on August 19th with the aim to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs through collaborative research and development focused on creating new technologies to resolve global social issues.
The project will strive to create new value that contributes to the achievement of the SDGs based on partnerships that transcend the framework of conventional industry-academia collaboration research. The initial stage will focus on defining a set of targets relevant to social needs and generate new technologies in the medical, healthcare and agricultural fields, which are areas of strength for both parties. The partnership will also continue to develop human resources for the next-generation through mutual exchange.
