Nagase Viita Featured in JAL's SKYWARD Magazine Special on the Charms of Okayama

We are proud to announce that Nagase Viita is featured in an advertorial within the October 2025 Okayama special of SKYWARD, the international in-flight magazine of the Japan Airlines (JAL) Group. The feature opens with the legend of Momotarō, exploring its origins at the historic Kibitsu Shrine and introducing Okayama's famous sweet rice cake (mochi), kibidango.  

The feature then highlights trehalose, a naturally-occurring sugar that helps maintain the just-made taste and texture of foods like kibidango. Nagase Viita was the first in the world to successfully mass-produce this ingredient, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of its market launch this year.  

Furthermore, the article touches on the company's commitment to sustainability, noting that Nagase Viita has earned the highest Platinum rating from the international assessment organization EcoVadis for two consecutive years for its initiatives in environmental protection, human rights, and procurement.
