Seven children from NAGASE Group employee families, including those from Nagase Viita, took on the role of kid reporters for a day, interviewing para-athletes. Their stories were featured in the Yomiuri KODOMO Shimbun on Thursday, November 21.
In the project titled "Let's Chat with and Learn from Para-Athletes! Kid Reporter Program," two events were held, featuring hands-on experiences and interviews.
During the first event, the kid reporters tried three types of para-sports, including wheelchair racing, and interviewed Hitoshi Matsunaga, a wheelchair track and field athlete and coach.
In the second event, the kid reporters took part in races at the Nagase Cup track and field competition and conducted interviews with Shinya Wada, a blind runner, and Takumi Hasebe, his guide runner.
The experiences and insights of the kid reporters are featured across four pages.
