Recognized as an Outstanding Company for Cancer Control Promotion in FY 2024

We are pleased to announce that Nagase ChemteX Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "our company") has been recognized as an "Outstanding Company for Cancer Control Promotion in FY 2024" by the Cancer Control Promotion Corporate Alliance Headquarters, a project commissioned by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
This recognition is awarded to companies that demonstrate exceptional commitment to cancer prevention and support for employees undergoing treatment. Since joining the Cancer Control Promotion Corporate Action in 2020, our company has received this honor four times.
We were recognized for our high cancer screening rate, achieved through a program that allows employees to undergo screenings at little to no personal cost, in collaboration with our health insurance association. Additionally, we have implemented a system that enables employees to receive early screenings, ahead of the recommended age.
Our Approach to Cancer Control
As part of our medium-term management plan "ACE 2.0," we are promoting health management with a focus on providing “a safe and supportive work environment” as one of the key values for our employees. Our key initiatives include:
1. Raising Cancer Awareness
Distributing the "Recommendations for Cancer Screening" booklet to employees.
Offering e-learning courses on cancer prevention and early detection.
2. Encouraging Cancer Screenings
Integrating cancer screenings into routine health check-ups.
Subsidizing screening costs for employees.
Allowing employees to undergo screenings during working hours.
3. Supporting Employees Undergoing Treatment
Implementing flexible work arrangements, including leave options, remote work, and flexible hours.
Conducting regular health assessments with occupational physicians and public health nurses.
Facilitating communication between employees, supervisors, and the company to support work-life balance during treatment.
We remain committed to enhancing cancer screening accessibility and creating a workplace where employees can successfully balance work and medical care.
