AA2G

Stabilized Vitamin C powered by enzyme technology, delivering a healthy glow for brighter skin.

Since its launch in 1995, AA2G™ has been a trusted ingredient, enhancing skin radiance in more than 20 countries worldwide. Backed by our advanced R&D, AA2G™ is scientifically proven to deliver efficacy and reliable quality to fulfill what you seek.

What is AA2G™?

AA2G™ (INCI: Ascorbyl Glucoside) is a highly stable vitamin C derivative, first industrialized globally by Nagase Viita. By combining vitamin C with glucose, AA2G™ significantly enhances stability. While maintaining high stability within formulations, the skin enzymes cleave ascorbyl glucoside into vitamin C and glucose, enabling cells to uptake vitamin C upon application.

Bioavailability of ascorbyl glucoside

Intracelluler vitamin C uptake

The intracelluler vitamin C level can be maintained for a longer period compared to the vitamin C treatment, since ascorbyl glucoside gradually releases vitamin C and is taken up by cells.

Methods: NHDF (Normal Human Dermal Fibroblasts) were incubated in the media with 1 mmol/L vitamin C or ascorbyl glucoside for 8 days. Each intracellular vitamin C level was measured on day 0, 1, 2, 5 and 8.

Multifunction

Through the continuous release of vitamin C, AA2GTM delivers the benefits of vitamin C to the skin. The multiple bioactive functions for brightening, anti-aging and sun care... has been scientifically proven by Nagase Viita.
