A program featuring cultural preservation technology using trehalose aired on “CATCH JAPAN” in 2025.

Broadcast by NHK WORLD-JAPAN, the international service of Japan’s public broadcaster, it will air again on June 26, 2026.

The program delves into the preservation of wooden cultural artifacts recovered from a 700-year-old Mongol invasion shipwreck.

It explores how trehalose is helping pass these important pieces of history on to future generations.
