- Kiyomaru-kun is flocculant made from natural volcanic ash ”Shirasu”, so it has less impact on the environment than ordinary flocculants. It is safe and reliable to use at civil engineering sites that has to be environmentally friendly, and sites near rivers and the sea.
Technology Details
By adding and agitating Kiyomaru-kun with a solution containing colloidal particles, the negative charge of the colloidal particles and the positive charge of Kiyomaru-kun ionically combine, causing the colloidal particles to coagulate. Compared to general flocculants, Kiyomaru-kun is charged with more positive charges, so it can bond with multiple negative charges in colloidal particles, which increases the flocculating power the flocks difficult to break.
