Doping

"Doping" also called "dop" The addition of impurities to a compound to change its physical properties.
The impurity to be added is called a dopant.
If a conductive polymer remains in its original structure, electrons cannot move freely and conductivity is low. When doping is performed to deprive electrons or to give electrons, a pathway for electrons is created and conductivity is dramatically improved.
Dopants that take away electrons are called acceptors, and dopants that give electrons are called donors.
