Spin coating

A method in which the substrate is rotated horizontally at high speed to obtain a uniform film thickness. The equipment is called a spin coater or spinner. Although a smooth ultra-thin film of a few nm can be obtained, the coating area is small and productivity efficiency is low. Suitable for low viscosity liquids.
