This award recognizes our achievement in developing a standardized glycated albumin (GA) assay kit and our contribution to standardization.

What is Glycated Albumin (GA)?
GA is a substance in which glucose is bound to albumin.
When blood glucose levels remain high, GA levels increase; conversely, when blood glucose levels decrease due to treatment, GA levels decrease.
What is Standardization?
As clinical laboratory testing becomes increasingly global, international comparability of results is essential. Standardization involves defining reference materials and reference measurement methods for each test item to maintain consistency in measurement values. Developing assay kits traceable to these reference materials is a critical step toward achieving this goal.
